Happy Birthday Gab!
Our little Gab turned 3 today! I can't believe how fast time has gone by since my water broke at 2 am one lazy summer night and 3 hours later Gab brought the most joy anyone could experience into our lives. It's been a wonderful 3 years with our guy and thanks to him, we have had 3 very busy and exciting years that have also allowed us to grow spiritually. My little baby is officially a little boy now- going to school in September, no longer wearing diapers, learning to control when he doesn't always get his way, being reasonable about eating his vegetables, and always saying 'Hi Weez' every morning and giving his sister a kiss when she needs it. Happy Birthday Gab!
We had a special day. I took him to the 'cars' this morning- a huge park with kids' rides, playgrounds, and a zoo. Then, we came home for a Happy Meal Lunch. After a short nap, he got to watch a movie (Toy Story) while I made his red car cake (his request) that looks more like a car in an accident than a race car, but I tried! Then, we had his godfather and godmother over for dinner and he finally got to open the presents he's been waiting to open the whole day. Tomorrow, we'll put them into action and see how they work, tonight we were just too tired from all the activity.
Gab had a fabulous birthday and he really appreciated the calls he got from his grandmas, aunts, uncles and friends and was so proud to say 'I'm three years old' when he was asked that on the telephone.
